This is officially the best pizza is Iowa. Pizza is my favorite food and let me tell you this pizza checks all the boxes. When I arrived I was greeted and felt welcome. The staff even remembered my name even though it was only my second time visiting. The staff member had some of the best customer service I have ever experienced. He was extremely polite. We choose to eat in and the restaurant made me feel like I was walking in to get a slice in Brooklyn. The pizza was amazing. It was fresh and hot, the pizza crust was crisp but still airy , the sauce was amazing and the cheese and toppings were awesome. I can't wat to tell all my friends about this amazing pizza spot and shout to the amazing person that served me and my family you definitely deserve a raise as not only did you give me, my wife and daughter exceptional service I watched you multi task the entire time I was there from taking order to ensuring that the restaurant was clean and to ensuring that we enjoyed our food you truly are exactly what makes customers come back

Having come in from the east coast and NYC, we thought we'd see if these pies stood up to the the authentic ones we had in the Big Apple...and boy, did they! The crust was crispy, but still foldable, and the sauce was tasty but not overpowering and uber spicy like the chain pizza guys make. Well worth the stop to grab a slice!

Finally—real New York-style pizza in Iowa! Taste of New York Pizza absolutely nails it. The crust is perfectly thin and foldable, the sauce is flavorful without overpowering, and the cheese is just right. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients, and everything tastes fresh and homemade. I stopped in for a couple slices and ended up taking a whole pie home. The staff was so kind and welcoming—it really added to the whole experience. The vibe felt like a legit NYC pizzeria—laid-back but bustling. If you’re craving that classic East Coast flavor (or just a seriously good slice), this is the spot. Can’t wait to go back and try the Sicilian!

Every time I come visit Des Moines, I have to stop here. You want to be reminded of home (New York), and eat REAL pizza , this is it. The owner is from NY, and brought NY here. The moment you enter the store, YOU KNOW you’re home. I love this place, people are warm, and kind. Pizza is great too.

This has become my go to spot when I'm in the area and want something quick. Lots of tasty choices for toppings. My favorite order is one white slice and one margherita slice. My son loves this place and eats slices as big as his head. Canoli is fantastic too!
